Abstract:
To prevent an increase in size of an image forming apparatus, improve workability, and improve the strength of an intermediate transfer unit.SOLUTION: An intermediate transfer unit 120 comprises: an intermediate transfer belt 125 that is stretched over a drive roller 123 and a driven roller 124 and travels endlessly; primary transfer rollers 126; a housing 128 that holds the intermediate transfer belt 125 and primary transfer rollers 126; and a filter unit 300 having a housing 303 in a rectangular parallelepiped shape that has an intake part 301 and an exhaust part 302 and has an upstream filter 331 and a downstream filter 332 collecting granular materials arranged therein. The filter unit 300 is arranged inside the intermediate transfer belt 125 with the longitudinal direction of the housing 303 in parallel with a width direction orthogonal to the circumferential direction of the intermediate transfer belt 125, and is fixed to the housing 128.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
