Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus that can accurately predict the temperature of a prediction object in the image forming apparatus when power supply to the image forming apparatus is resumed, such as when power supply is stopped due to power outage and then power is turned on again.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 comprises: in-device temperature detection means 114 that detects in-device temperature; prediction means 311 that predicts an object temperature being the temperature of a prediction object; and storage means 303 that stores information indicating the in-device temperature and information indicating the object temperature, and holds the information even when power supply to the image forming apparatus 100 is stopped. When power supply to the image forming apparatus 100 is stopped and then power supply to the image forming apparatus 100 is started, the prediction means 311 acquires information indicating an object temperature at the start on the basis of the information indicating the in-device temperature detected at the start and information indicating the object temperature stored in the storage means 303 before the stoppage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
