Abstract:
To provide a thermal printer, a printing control method for the thermal printer, and a program, which can perform optimum printing control of the thermal printer to a used power source.SOLUTION: A thermal printer includes: a sheet conveyance section 2 which conveys a sheet; a printing section 3 which performs printing on the sheet through a thermal head 32; memories 4 and 5 which record data; and a control device 1 which controls the printing section by the data recorded in the memories. The control device 1 has a first control section 11 for recording a printing condition given to the printing section and a printing result obtained by performing printing by the printing section according to the printing condition in the memories, a second control section 12 for predicting current supply capacity of a power source from the printing condition and a data set of the printing result, and a third control section 13 for reflecting the current supply capacity of the power source on the printing control. By repeating a control cycle by the first control section, the second control section, and the third control section, the thermal printer itself learns the printing control and optimizes the printing control.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
