Abstract:
To provide fluorescent probes of unbound bilirubin and to provide methods of use thereof.SOLUTION: Provided is a solid substrate to which a probe is attached, in which the solid substrate comprises polystyrene beads, latex beads, or Ni-agarose beads, and the probe is attached to the solid substrate, the probe having a specific amino acid sequence, and comprising an intracellular lipid binding protein (iLBP) comprising a His-tag at the C-terminus and a fluorophore attached to a specific site of the protein, and binding to bilirubin but not significantly binding to fatty acids.SELECTED DRAWING: None
