Title:
IMMOBILIZATION OF ENZYME AND BIOSENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02128152
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To immobilize a sufficient amount of enzyme and an electron moving medium on the surface of an electrode by performing an electrolytic plating on the surface of the electrode to form numerous fine holes.

CONSTITUTION: After an electrolytic plating on the surface of an electrode, enzyme is made to be absorbed thereon physically and further, an electron moving medium is immobilized by an electrolytically polymerized substance. In other words, with the electrolytic plating of metal on the surface of the electrode, numerous fine holes are formed. The enzyme and the electron moving medium entering into the fine holes are immobilized in batch by the electrolytically polymerized substance. A higher uniformity of a plated layer is achieved by an electrochemical processing of the surface of the electrode before the plating. The physical adsorption of the enzyme under the application of a voltage enables an effective adsorption. It is desired that the electrolytic polymerization is performed in a non-aqueous solution from the aspect of solubility in consideration of the degree of dissolution.
