Abstract:
To provide a mechanism that can include a step feature guide wire having a guide wire having a proximal end, a distal end, and a diameter.SOLUTION: A self-expanding element can be provided at a vicinity of a distal end of a guide wire, and may have at least two states of a shrunk diameter and an expanded diameter. The self-expanding element may be expandable at least according to peculiar adequacy based on a property of the material composing an original shape and element. Also, the expanded diameter may be substantially 70% to 280% of the guide wire diameter. The guide wire is designed so as to pass through a lumen of the body when treating the patient, and the expanded diameter is lower than any lumen diameter of the body through which the guide wire is determined to pass.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
