Abstract:
To prevent ringing while reducing the switching loss in a power transistor.SOLUTION: A switching control circuit comprises: a voltage generating circuit which raises a voltage at a predetermined node when a control signal reaches one logical level for turning on a power transistor; a drive circuit which raises, when the control signal reaches the logical level, a voltage in a control electrode of the power transistor at a speed corresponding to a voltage level at the predetermined node but lowers the voltage in the control electrode when the control signal reaches the other logical level for turning off the power transistor; and a clamp circuit which clamps the voltage at the predetermined node when the voltage level of the control electrode rises and reaches a predetermined level.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
