Abstract:
To provide a laser device capable of adjusting a spread angle with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A laser device 1 includes a laser unit 2 that outputs a laser beam, an exit end 5 that emits a laser beam, and a first fusion splicer P1 and a second fusion splicer P2 in which two multimode fibers having a core through which a laser beam propagates and a clad surrounding the core are fused and connected to each other. At least a part of the core in the first fusion splicer P1 contains a dopant similar to the dopant contained in the clad in the first fusion splicer P1 to reduce the refractive index. The refractive index profile is different between the core in the first fusion splicer P1 and the core in the second fusion splicer P2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
