Abstract:
To provide: a composite porous body of a polyvinyl chloride resin having high porosity, comprising fine continuous holes from a surface to a center of the porous body and hollow parts inside the porous body: and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: A porous body of a polyvinyl chloride resin, having a porosity in a range of 50 to 95% and comprising hollow parts inside the porous body and fine continuous holes from a surface to a center, is obtained by a production method comprising the steps of: dissolving a polyvinyl chloride resin in a good solvent to obtain a solution; dispersing silica uniformly in the solution obtained in the previous step to obtain a dispersion of polyvinyl chloride resin and silica; forming droplets of the dispersion of polyvinyl chloride resin and silica obtained in the previous step; dipping the droplets obtained in the previous step in a poor solvent containing water to solidify the resin; and separating the solidified resin obtained in the previous step from the solvent system, wherein a proportion of water in the poor solvent is 0.1 to 80 wt.%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
