Abstract:
To provide a helmet and a grommet used for a vent, which can simplify an opening/closing mechanism of the vent and save a space.SOLUTION: A helmet comprises a grommet 10 for taking in outside air into a shell 2. The grommet 10 includes: a base 11 attached to the shell 2 at a position of a through hole 4 and provided with a first opening 16 at a position overlapping the through hole 4; an operating member 12 rotatably attached to the base 11 and having a second opening 28 corresponding to the first opening 16; and shutters 13, 14 for opening and closing the first and second openings 16, 28. The shutter includes guide protrusions 36 to 39, and driven protrusions 41 and 42, and the base 11 includes guide grooves 21 to 24 to which the guide protrusions are engaged, and the operating member 12 includes a cam groove to which the driven protrusions 41 and 42 are engaged. The shutters 13 and 14 move in conjunction with a rotation of the operating member with respect to the base to open and close the first and second openings 16 and 28.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
