Abstract:
To provide mineral wool which has sufficient hardness, is excellent in workability and has high compressive stress.SOLUTION: Mineral wool 1 contains an inorganic fiber, and a binder attached to the inorganic fiber. The binder contains a polyvinyl alcohol resin, a (meth)acrylic resin having a carboxyl group, and a carboxylic acid dihydrazide compound. At least a part of the (meth)acrylic resin forms a crosslinking structure by reaction with the carboxylic acid dihydrazide compound, and a ratio of the total mass of the (meth)acrylic resin and the carboxylic acid dihydrazide compound to the mass of the polyvinyl alcohol resin is 0.03-20.00.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
