To give an upstream step feedback on product manufacturing floor information.SOLUTION: A manufacturing assistance system 10 comprises: a manufacturing status information reception unit 111 that receives, from a predetermined apparatus manufacturing a predetermined product, manufacturing status information, which is information indicating a status of manufacture of the product by the apparatus; and a manufacturing capability database creating unit 114 that creates a predetermined database in which the received manufacturing status information and tag information serving as attribute information about a product indicated by the received manufacturing status information or about a manufacturing method for the product are stored in association with each other, and which is communicably connected to a predetermined terminal managed by a manager of a manufacturing process for the product and a predetermined terminal managed by a manager of an upstream step of the manufacturing process.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
