Abstract:
To provide pharmaceutical compositions formulated for oral delivery of biologically active polypeptides to a subject, and designed to provide improved effective therapies for treatment of, e.g., inflammatory diseases, autoimmune diseases, cancer, metabolic disorders and growth deficiency disorders.SOLUTION: The pharmaceutical compositions comprise a non-naturally occurring fusion molecule and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable carriers, and are formulated for oral delivery to a subject. The fusion molecule comprises a modified Cholix toxin coupled to a biologically active cargo. The modified Cholix toxin is truncated at an amino acid residue within Cholix toxin domain Ib. The fusion molecule has the ability to activate a receptor for the biologically active cargo, or to enable a catalytic process of a catalytically active material.SELECTED DRAWING: None
