Abstract:
To provide a configuration of a frontal airbag device for a driver's seat of a vehicle that allows an upper part of an airbag more to be reliably deployed in front of a driver's head even if a driver's trunk is tilted forward at the start of deployment of the airbag.SOLUTION: The airbag device of the present invention is equipped in a central region of a steering wheel of a vehicle, and comprises an airbag module accommodating an airbag that can be deployed behind the steering wheel when a driver is seated in a driver's seat. The airbag module comprises airbag expansion control means that controls an expansion direction of the airbag so as to allow the air bag to expand toward above the air bag module after the air bag expands in a direction where the airbag comes into contact with a driver's chest when the airbag is deployed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
