To provide a heat compression molding body that does not lose translucency even when a non-translucent substance is added and a production method therefor.SOLUTION: A method for producing a heat compression molding body has a first step of dispersing a non-translucent substance in a solution with protein dissolved in a solvent to obtain a dispersion, a second step of removing the solvent from the obtained dispersion to obtain a protein mixture, and a third step of heating and compressing the obtained protein mixture.SELECTED DRAWING: None
