Abstract:
To remove air bubbles adhering to a prism that is used in detecting a residual quantity of ink.SOLUTION: A liquid jet device comprises: a carriage 2 that is mounted with a liquid jet head 3 that jets liquid and a liquid storage body 4 that stores the liquid to be supplied to the liquid jet head 3 and has a prism 7 that optically detects a quantity of the liquid and moves in a main scanning direction; a guide shaft 6 which is extended in the main scanning direction, and guides movement in the main scanning direction of the carriage 2; and a displacing mechanism 22 that displaces one end in a sub scanning direction crossing the main scanning direction of the carriage 2, in an upper direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
