Abstract:
To improve the energy efficiency of laser beam and furthermore improve the machined quality of a multi-layered workpiece by the laser beam.SOLUTION: A laser beam machining apparatus comprises a laser oscillation unit emitting a laser beam, a scanning unit scanning an irradiation position of the laser beam on a workpiece, and a control unit controlling the energy density and beam diameter of the laser beam emitted from the laser oscillation unit. The control unit causes a predetermined portion of the workpiece to be irradiated with laser beam in first combination of energy density and beam diameter, and then causes the predetermined portion of the workpiece to be irradiated with the laser beam again in second combination in which at least one of the energy density and the beam diameter is different from the first combination.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
