Abstract:
PURPOSE:To grow medium matured seedlings of paddy rice without requiring topdressing and excess damage of fertilizers, by varying fertilizer contents of a seeding bed and covering soil and holding the most part of required fertilizers in the covering soil. CONSTITUTION:In growing medium matured seedlings of paddy rice, rice seeds are sown in a seeding bed containing nitrogen(N), phosphoric acid (P2O5) and potassium (K2O) in respective amounts of 0-0.1g based on 100cm<2> constituent materials for the seeding bed. Either of soil based and nonsoil based materials may be used as the constituent materials for the seeding bed. The seeding bed after sowing the rice seeds is then covered with covering soil containing the N(nitrogen), phosphoric acid (P2O5) and potassium (K2O) in respective amounts of 0.2-1.0wt.%. Thereby, all or the most part of the required fertilizers can be held in the covering soil part without direct contact with root parts without requiring topdressing. As a result, medium matured seedlings of paddy rice can be grown without excess damage of the fertilizers.
