Abstract:
PURPOSE:To effectively prevent corrosion, resulting in a large reduction of cost for repairing and reinforcing a water tank by a method wherein the water tank is sealed with a small space remained over the stored water and corrosive gas generated from the water is collected in the space and naturally or forcedly exhausted outside the tank. CONSTITUTION:In an apparatus for exhausting corrosive gas in a clean water tank, corrosive gas being mainly chlorine gas generated from a stored water surface 5 is collected in a space 8 under a floating sheet 7 which covers the stored water surface 5, and the collected gas is smoothly exhausted from one or plurality of portions of a plurality of spaces 8 which are communicated with one another through an exhaust hose 9 to outside the clean water tank 1. This prevents side walls or a roof made of concrete from being exposed directly to corrosive gas, thereby preventing damage due to such corrosion.
