Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make information data produced from a self diagnosis means freely available upon occurrence of trouble during operation.
CONSTITUTION: Upon occurrence of trouble due to abnormality in mechanism section 53, servo section 54, signal processing section 55, or time code generator 56 during operation of a DVTR 11, the trouble is detected through a mechanism section diagnosing section 57, a servo section diagnosing section 58, a signal processing section diagnosing section 59, and a time code generator diagnosing section 60 and a detection signal is delivered to a self diagnosis information processing section 52. The self diagnosis information processing section 52 produces a self diagnosis information data corresponding to the trouble item and delivers thus produced data to an operating panel 9. If a memory card has been loaded and ready to use, the operating panel 9 records the self diagnosis information data on the memory card 8 while when the memory card 8 has not yet loaded or not ready to use, the self diagnosis information data is stored in a buil-in memory for later transfer to the memory card 8.
