Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable relatively fine control of complex refractive index of a recording layer by incorporating two or more kinds of org. dye material into the recording layer. CONSTITUTION:The optical disk consists of a substrate 1, recording layer 2, reflecting layer 3 and protective layer 4. Two or more kinds of org. dyestuffs are incorporated into the rec6ording layer 2. As for the dyestuffs, it is preferable to use cyanine org. dyes expressed by formulae I and II. A solution is prepared by dissolving 0.9g of the dye of formula I and 0.1g of the dyestuff of formula 11 in 20g of solvent (chlorofolm), applied on the substrate and dried. Other dyestuffs may be incorporated.
