Abstract:
Absorbent pad, particularly for sanitary articles such as disposable diapers, comprising at least one sheet of fibres and superabsorbent particles mixed with the fibres of the sheet, characterised by the fact that at least some of the fibres (2) consist of thermofusible fibres distributed through the entire thickness of the sheet (1), and in that the fibres of the pad are connected at spaced positions through the pad, over the entire thickness of the latter, by compression of the pad and fusion of the said thermofusible fibres at these positions.
