Abstract:
The thermometer has a measurement circuit and a temperature sensor to measure body temperature. There is also a liquid crystal display to indicate the results of the measurement. The thermometer also has a voice output circuit (72,76). This is formed to speak the results of the measurement, by the operation of an integrated circuit (72) and a voice reproduction circuit.In the preferred arrangement, the thermometer has an upper cover and a lower cover, a sensor, a battery set and the LCD display. It also has a switch actuator, a switch, a loud speaker and a circuit board. The sensor is closed by one of the covers which has a thermally conductive tip covered with a stainless steel cap. The measured results are automatically displayed on the LCD display and are also announced acoustically through the loudspeaker
