Abstract:
PURPOSE: To immediately stop the operation of a loom or to issue an alarm when inferior winding of an end part of a web onto an empty roll occurs at the initial stage of a contact wind-up process of winding a web.
CONSTITUTION: In a contact wind-up process in which an empty roll A is set on a pair of front and rear rotating, rollers 1, 2 at least one of which is a drive roller so as to be rotated in order to wind a web onto the roll A, a web sensor 20 is provided opposing to the lower side of the peripheral surface of an empty roll A, and a monitor circuit is connected to the web sensor 20 so that the monitor circuit delivers an abnormal signal unless the web sensor does not detect an end of the web in a predetermined period.
