Abstract:
To provide a method for stably recovering a raw material monomer from a polyester waste having a high water content in a high yield.
In the method for recovering an aromatic dicarboxylic acid ester comprises, when a polyester waste composed of an aromatic polyester as a main component and an alkylene glycol are subjected to depolymerization reaction and then reacted with a lower alcohol to give an aromatic dicarboxylic acid ester, pressure in a depolymerization reaction tank is not lower than a vapor pressure at the reaction temperature of a depolymerization reaction solution and not higher than a vapor pressure at the depolymerization reaction temperature of an alkylene glycol used+0.2 MPa.
