To provide a ceiling suspension type X-ray tube retainer singularly operating a carriage part of a ceiling part independently from an operating panel of an apparatus.

When the operating panel 10 is not disposed yet in an installation or when it is disposed but uncontrollable due to a failure, a changeover switch 7a of a switch part 8 which is connected to a carriage part controller 7 in the ceiling part 9 is turned on. The operating function of a controller 3 of the operating panel part 10 attached along with the X-ray tube apparatus 1 is cut off; the carriage part 6 of the ceiling and a support 5 are operated by a longitudinal movement locking release switch 8a, a latitudinal movement locking release switch 8b, and a vertical movement locking release switch 8c of the switch part 8; the carriage part 6 is horizontally moved on a longitudinal movement rail 9a and a latitudinal movement rail 9b, and the support 5 is vertically extended/contracted.
