Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversely osmotic(RO) membrane module that can reduce the worsening of the quality of the produced water without using any large-scale pretreatment apparatus. SOLUTION: The RO membrane module 10 is provided with a cylindrical body container 11, an intake for feeding seawater 1 into the inside of the container 11, an RO membrane element 13 provided in the inside of the container 11 and composed of a bundle of many hollow yarns 13b and 13c which turn permeating seawater 1 into fresh water, a packing material 19 that blocks the end of the openings of the hollow yarns 13c situated on the side upstream in the flow direction of the seawater 1 in the element 13, a water collection plate 14 that collects the produced water 4 having been turned into fresh water by allowing it to permeate the hollow yarns 13b of the element 13, a delivery port 15 that delivers the produced water 4 collected at the plate 14 to the outside, and a discharge pipe 16 that delivers the concentrated water 5 that has passed the RO membrane element 13 without passing the hollow yarns 13b and 13c of the element 13 to the outside of the container 11.
