To provide a lid apparatus, which requires less space for an opening/closing mechanism, does not fall or break, facilitates taking in and out of a content, has fineness in opening/closing, and provides the superior operational reliability of a detection switch for opening/closing.

A device body 1 is connected to a lid 10 via an elastic connecting member 15 having a hinge 15a at the center thereof and held to be slidable against a back cabinet 3. A projection integrally formed on the connecting member 15 is made to drive the detection switch for detecting the position of the lid 10. Hence, the lid apparatus, which has high reliability and superior fineness and facilitates opening/closing operations, is provided while an electronic device is miniaturized and thinned.
