Abstract:
To provide a feature selecting program for picture description system easily describing a picture by using appropriate features.
The features selecting program is designed for making a program control processor function as the picture description system for describing the signal features of the picture. The program has a function of selecting at least one descriptor (e.g. (1) DominantColor/ScalableColor/ColorStructure, (2) ColorLayout, (3) ColorTemperature, (4) IlluminationInvariantColor, (5) EdgeHistogram, (6) HomogeneousTexture/TextureBrowsing) with respect to each of one or more feature kinds (601-606) corresponding to designated picture kinds.
