Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a band-shaped structure in various direction where shadow and defects are present, with neither increasing a computational complexity nor being affected by patterns other than the band-shaped structures.SOLUTION: In a plurality of search positions of an input image, there are a plurality of first determination positions that are located on a circumference of an inner circle with a search position defined as a center having a diameter less than a predetermined band width, and a plurality of second determination positions that are located on the circumference of an outer circle with a search position defined as a center having a diameter larger than the band width. The band-shaped structure detecting device includes: band-shaped structure candidate detecting means 5 for determining whether image features at the first determination positions and the second determination positions are identical or similar to image features of the band-shaped structure, and, when the image feature of the first determination positions are identical or similar to the image features of the band-shaped structure and continuous areas of the second determination positions consisting of positions that are neither identical nor similar to the image features of the band-shaped structure, are present in the other sides of the inner circle facing each other, detecting search positions as band-shaped structure candidate points; and band-shaped structure detecting means 6 that detects the band-shaped structure by fitting a line to the band-shaped structure candidate point group.
