Abstract:
A muffler unit 30 for a saddle-ride type vehicle includes a first protector 70 which covers an outer surface of a muffler body 35 and serves as a thermal insulator, and a second protector 80 disposed on an outer surface of the first protector 70. The first and second protectors 70, 80 are attached and fastened together to the muffler body 35. The first protector 70 is larger than the second protector 80, and has a large recessed portion 71 into which the second protector 80 fits. The second protector 80 is disposed such that its outer peripheral rim 81 is buried in the recessed portion 71, while being adjacent to an inner peripheral wall of the recessed portion 71 and spaced therefrom by a predetermined interval (s).
