Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing inspection component for a roll of a multistage rolling machine, the multistage rolling machine, and a bearing damage detection method for the roll of the multistage rolling machine capable of detecting a damage on an outer ring surface of a plurality of bearings, without removing a bearing incorporated in a backup roll from the multistage rolling machine.SOLUTION: A multistage rolling machine 10 comprises a bearing inspection component 30 for a roll which can be attached to an attachment position of a second intermediate roll 14. The bearing inspection component 30 for a roll comprises: a support body 31; and a plurality of eddy current sensors 40 held movably in an axial direction in an axial groove 33 of the support body 31. The eddy current sensors 40 simultaneously inspect presence of damage on an outer peripheral surface 22b of an outer ring 22 of plurality of bearings 20 in a backup roll 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
