PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle camera system for appropriately detecting an adhered matter on a camera based on a photographed image of a camera.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle camera system 1 includes a camera 10 mounted on a vehicle for continuously photographing the surroundings of the vehicle and generating photographed images of a plurality of consecutive frames, a difference processing unit 23 that identifies a small difference area having a small difference between frames in teh plurality of photographed images generated by the camera 10, and an adhered matter existence determination unit 24 that determines the presence or absence of an adhered matter to the camera 10 on the basis of the presence or absence of the movement of the small difference area in the vehicle traveling corresponding direction which is the moving direction of a subject in the photographed image accompanying the travel of the vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
