PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a translation system for appropriately performing translation according to the position of a user.SOLUTION: In a translation system 1, a translation model corresponding to a positioning method and a position is preliminarily stored in a translation model storage unit 33, and the translation model corresponding to position information indicating the position measured by terminal equipment 10 and positioning method information indicating the positioning method is specified by a database server 20, and a translation server 30 acquires a character string based on voice information input to the terminal equipment 10, and acquires the translation model specified by the database server 20 from the translation model storage unit 33, and translates the character string by using the acquired translation model, and the translation server 30 transmits a result of translation to the terminal equipment 10, and the terminal equipment 10 displays the result of translation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
