PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus that can perform, at a higher speed, processing of predicting a pixel value in an unknown area where a pixel value is needed to be determined.SOLUTION: There is provided an image processing apparatus 10 comprising: an image information acquisition part 11 that acquires image information on an image; an unknown area setting part 13 that sets, in the image, an unknown area where a pixel value is needed to be determined; and a pixel value prediction part 14 that determines a pixel included in a known area other than the unknown area and having strength as a starting point pixel, and predicts the pixel value of pixels in the unknown area on the basis of the strength of the starting point pixel and the weight of the starting point pixel applied to the pixels included in the unknown area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
