Abstract:
To provide a symbol selection device capable of easily selecting a symbol such as a character or a symbol displayed on a screen by a line of sight without performing calibration.SOLUTION: A symbol selection device, which allows a user to select a plurality of symbols such as a character and a sign displayed on a screen according to a line of sight of the user, detects the line of sight of the user directed to the screen, estimates, based on a detection result of the line of sight, a viewpoint position of the user on the screen, moves, based on the estimated viewpoint position being estimated, the symbol to a selection position preset on the screen, and selects the symbol at the selection position. The selection position is fixed at a predetermined position on the screen, and moved, when a distance between the estimated viewpoint position and the selection position is equal to or smaller than a predetermined value, so that the symbol closest to the estimated viewpoint position is moved so as to be drawn into the selection position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
