Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing cell capable of preventing formation of a compound between dissimilar metals, when joining terminals composed of different metallic substances, and to provide a cell.SOLUTION: An external terminal 35 of a secondary cell on the negative electrode side uses aluminum or an aluminum alloy, and a collector terminal 32 uses a metallic substance having a higher melting point than that of the external terminal 35, i.e., copper or a copper alloy. The collector terminal 32 is provided with a protrusion 41 which is fitted to a fitted part 56 provided at the tip of an ultrasonic horn 50. A method of manufacturing secondary cell has a vibration adding step of fitting the protrusion 41 of the collector terminal 32 and the fitted part 56 of the ultrasonic horn 50, and adding ultrasonic vibration from the ultrasonic horn 50 to the collector terminal 32 without causing plastic deformation of the collector terminal 32 and external terminal 35 by the ultrasonic horn 50, and a press step of applying a pressing force to the collector terminal 32 by the ultrasonic horn 50, and making solid phase bonding of the bonding surface of the external terminal 35 to the bonding surface of the collector terminal 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
