Abstract:
To provide a dry-type disintegrator/defibrator that carries out preliminary defibration of pulp kept in a dry condition to produce a raw material for the production of a cellulose nanofiber.SOLUTION: The dry-type disintegrator/defibrator comprises a feed port 3 for feeding pulp or the like, a discharge port 5 for discharging defibrated material, and a defibration chamber 7 disposed between the feed port 3 and the discharge port 5. A screen 9 comprising a plurality of through holes 31 is provided between the discharge port 5 and the defibration chamber 7. A rotor 11a is provided in the defibration chamber 7. The rotor 11a is constituted of a rotary shaft 13a and a plurality of plate-shaped stationary blades 17 fixed to the rotary shaft 13a with a prescribed gap 33 apart from each other in the shaft direction thereof. Each of the stationary blades 17 comprises a plurality of edges 15 protruding in the direction away from the rotary shaft 13a. The inner face 35 of the defibration chamber 7 is provided with at least one protrusion 19a. The protrusion 19a comprises a plurality of recessed parts 21 for the edges 15 of each of the fixed blades 17 to travel therethrough when the rotor 11a rotates.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
