Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wide-angle directional antenna element that can be easily manufactured without complicating a structure.SOLUTION: A dielectric layer 34 is formed on an antenna element conductor 33 formed on a surface of a dielectric substrate 31, so as to be brought into tightly contact with or to be close to the antenna element conductor. An electromagnetic wave emitted from the antenna element conductor 33 enters the dielectric layer 34 substantially in a state of a spherical wave. Due to such a structure, an electromagnetic wave outgoing from the dielectric layer 34 has a wider-angle directivity compared with an electromagnetic wave in a case where no dielectric layer 34 is provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
