Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical seal having high assembly accuracy for a retainer.SOLUTION: A mechanical seal includes: a static sealing ring 5; a bellows 7 including a rotary sealing part 72 relatively sliding the static sealing ring 5 with rotation of a rotational shaft 3, and a base end part 71 provided on an axially opposite side to the rotary sealing part 72; a retainer 8 holding the rotary sealing part 72 from a radial direction; a fixation and vibration control member 9 fixing the base end part 71 to a rotational shaft side member 6, and freely fitted into the retainer 8 in the radial direction; springs 94, 94, ... configured to energize the static sealing ring 5 and the rotary sealing part 72 in an axial direction so as to approach each other; and an elastic member 103 provided between the retainer 8 and the fixation and vibration control member 9 at a portion X where the retainer 8 and the fixation and vibration control member 9 are freely fitted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
