Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for producing a conjugated diene that makes it possible to efficiently produce a conjugated diene from an olefin with little catalyst degradation.SOLUTION: A method for producing a conjugated diene includes the steps of: reducing a dehydrogenation catalyst in which a carrier comprising Al carries a carried metal comprising a group 14 metal element and Pt, at 350-530°C; and bringing a raw material gas comprising an olefin into contact with the reduced dehydrogenation catalyst, to obtain a product gas comprising a conjugated diene.SELECTED DRAWING: None
