Abstract:
To provide a method and device for lifting ore of a valuable substance of the seabed, capable of lifting ore of coarse and high density granules, capable of long distance transportation, and without generating waste.SOLUTION: A method for lifting ore comprises steps of filling with a carrier material in an U-shaped pipeline which a lowering pipe reaching the seabed and a rising pipe reaching the sea from the sea bottom is connected at the seabed side, circulating the carrier material by a pump, mixing valuable substance of the seabed to the carrier material, conveying upwardly by being accompanied with the carrier material, and recovering the valuable substance on the sea side. And the carrier material is a viscous fluid substance with higher viscosity than seawater.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
