Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding roll which has a light weight and a high rigidity, and can suppress rise in a rice grain temperature.SOLUTION: A grinding roll 18 of a vertical griding type rice milling machine comprises a metal cylindrical body 32, and abrasive grains 33 which firmly adhere onto a surface of the cylindrical body. The grinding roll 18 is configured in such a manner that round-sliced partial rolls 18a are laminated, and annular grooves 29a, 29b are so formed on respective joint surfaces of the partial rolls 18 as to face each other. When the partial rolls 18a are laminated, the cylindrical body 32 is formed by a cylindrical wall 34. A toric cavity 29, in which the annular grooves 19a, 19b are integrated, is formed on the cylindrical wall 34. The toric cavity 29 is formed in a cross section of the cylindrical wall 34, and the cylindrical wall 34 has a down-gaged structure. The toric cavity 29 comprises plural openings 36 which are connected to an inside space 35 of the cylindrical body 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
