Abstract:

To provide a current cutoff device capable of suppressing influence of foreign matter.SOLUTION: A current cutoff device includes a reverse plate 40 for interrupting conduction of a battery element and an external terminal, by inverting when the internal pressure of the internal space of an exterior body receiving the battery element goes above a prescribed pressure, and a rivet 30 connected with the external terminal, and to which the peripheral part 43 of the reverse plate 40 is welded. The peripheral part 43 of the reverse plate 40 has a first opposite surface 43a facing the rivet 30 in the plate thickness direction of the reverse plate 40, and a protrusion 44 protruding from the first opposite surface 43a to the rivet 30 side in the plate thickness direction. The rivet 30 has a second opposite surface 34a facing the first opposite surface 43a in the plate thickness direction, and a recess 35 recessed from the second opposite surface 34a in the direction receding from the reverse plate 40, and in a state where a protrusion 34 is fitted in the recess 35, the reverse plate 40 is welded to the rivet 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
