Abstract:
To provide a method for producing hydrogen that efficiently produces hydrogen from a raw material gas containing ammonia with the use of a catalyst, and a hydrogen production catalyst used in the method for producing hydrogen.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing hydrogen comprising a step of bringing a catalyst (X) into contact with a raw material gas containing ammonia, the catalyst comprising: at least one element (A) selected from nickel, cobalt and iron; at least one element (B) selected from strontium and barium; at least one element (C) selected from rare-earth elements; and magnesium (D). There is also provided a hydrogen production catalyst used in the method for producing hydrogen.SELECTED DRAWING: None
