Abstract:
To improve inclination correction accuracy of image data, and to reduce time from a start of a manuscript image reading to image data acquisition.SOLUTION: An image reading apparatus 100 comprises: first image reading means 121 that reads a first surface image of a conveyed manuscript; second image reading means 131 that is arranged in downstream of the first image reading means and that reads a second surface image; first inclination amount detecting means that detects a first inclination amount of the manuscript on the basis of a detection result of manuscript detection means 109 which detects the conveyed manuscript; second inclination amount detecting means that detects a second inclination amount of the manuscript on the basis of first surface image data; third inclination amount detecting means that detects a third inclination amount of the manuscript on the basis of second surface image data; and inclination correction amount determination means 203 that determines an inclination correction amount for correcting inclination of the image data on the basis of the second inclination amount without detecting the third inclination amount when a difference between the first inclination amount and the second inclination amount is less than or equal to a predetermined threshold value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
