Abstract:
To correct skew of sheets while suppressing damage given to the sheets with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A sheet detector 5 enables detecting a sheet passage state where a tip part of a sheet passes through a first detection position and a second detection position that are at the same position between a primary roller pair 31a position and a second roller pair 31b position in a sheet conveyance direction and are positions separated from each other by a distance in a width direction. A conveyance control unit 8b executes skew correction control for putting a tip of the sheet 9 along the second roller pair 31b while forming a deflection to the sheet 9 by rotating the primary roller pair 31a in a state where the second roller pair 31b is stopped.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
