1,146,846. (Meth)acrylate ester/vinylpyrrolidone copolymers. ROHM & HAAS CO. 2 May, 1966 [3 June, 1965], No. 19207/66. Heading C3P. [Also in Division C5] Copolymers of alkyl acrylates or methacrylates containing 0À1-20% by weight of units of an N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone of formula where R 4 is H or C 1 -C 4 alkyl, may be employed as hydraulic fluid additives. Examples given are copolymers of N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone with (1) butyl, lauryl and stearyl methacrylates, (2) butyl, isodecyl and cetyl stearyl methacrylates, (3) butyl, cetyl stearyl and lauryl myristyl methacrylates and (4) ethyl acrylate and lauryl myristyl and cetyl stearyl methacrylates.
