Abstract:
D-Homosteroids of general formula (I) and process for their manufacture: R1 = R2 = H, or R1 + R2 = -CH2-, X = H, lower alkyl, F, Cl, R3=R4=H or acyl (e.g. acetyl, benzoyl, sulphate etc.) 24 Cpds. are specifically claimed. As potent antiandrogenic cpds. useful in the treatment of acne, prostatic hypertrophy etc. Administration is by known methods (e.g. tablets) with the usual carriers.
