Abstract:
PURPOSE: To attain time count of a long time, by charging a capacitor for each short time intermittently in sybchronizing with a commercial power supply.
CONSTITUTION: A capacitor 16 is charged only when a transistor(TR)9 is turned on, and when this charging is progressed, an output of a comparator 15 is inverted and the time count is finished. In setting a value of a resistor 4 sufficiently larger than that of a resistor 9, the time when the TR9 is set on in the vicinity of zero phase of the commercial power supply 1 is very short. Since the capacitor 16 is charged only for about 500μsec out of about 8.3msec in case of 60Hz, the time about 16 times the conventional case is counted, allowing to count time for a long time.
